Claverham v Knowle at Knowle, June 4th

Claverham were well beaten by a ruthless Knowle on Saturday. Inviting the visitors to bat first, Knowle made full use of the conditions on offer as they made immediate inroads sending openers Peyper & Bird back to the pavillion. The normally reliable middle order then failed as wickets kept tumbling. Only Matt Davies, Phil Gillott and Nigel Cheeseright making it into double figures posting a small total of 62 with M Brain the chief tormentor with 5 for 28.

In reply, Knowle decided not to hang around and opener Levitt (28 no) and Mark Coombes (28) seeing them home by 8 wickets with 38 overs to spare!

Claverham need to put this one behind them and bounce back this Saturday away to Midsomer Norton
