Having inserted the home team, Claverham pinned Stoke Bishop down with tight aggressive bowling from Cheeseright 2 for 19 and Miles 1 for 15. Paul Bird then took over the bowling and continued his fine form with a faultless 4 for 8 from 11 overs, and with the medium pace duo of Coombes and Hooper picking up useful middle order batsman Claverham squeezed Stoke Bishop to a disappointing 79 all out.

That performance with the ball gave the visitors an opportunity to finish their opponents off quickly and Horton 32 no and Bird 46 no duly obliged by smashing the target of 80 from only 17 overs and picking up maximum points available.
