Hambrook 118 Claverham 119-1
Despite lacking the key services of Paul Bird and Rich Coombes Claverham swept past their high flying visitors in imperious fashion to maintain their excellent start to the season.
The home side established an immediate grip on the game after Hambrook had elected to make first us of the ideal batting conditions, the lively Perry, 1 for 28 and the quite awesome Cheesewright , 5 for 16, sweeping aside any resistance.
The out cricket was again of the highest quality with every half chance taken and the bowlers supported by top class ground fielding.
After tea opener Atul lashed 17 runs from the first over and Claverham never looked back. The diminutive Indian maestro raced to 38 before surrendering his wicket but the impetus was maintained by the ageless Roger Copeland who included a series of flowing boundaries in his unbeaten 20. While all this was going on Rich Horton batted sublimely to ease to a faultless half century as the home side swept home with nine wickets and dozens of overs to spare.
